Blue

A few people have written to say the cold and snowy days are making them blue.

My daughter, who lives in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, is having a sunlamp party this weekend. My suggestion: add some Jimmy Buffett music and mojitos.

My friend Loretta, who reprimanded me for not going to the beach one day because it was "too windy and not worth it", says she's had enough of winter.

Everyone, it seems, is blue. Here are some images which bring an altogether new meaning to the word "blue".

Mailbox. A great blue heron fishing in the Intracoastal.

Detail of the drawbridge at Ocean Drive. A  Portuguese man-o-war jelly fish.

Kite surfer.  Cloudy sky.

The water in the deep end of pool in the rain, and ocean water in the shallows.

Blue sand pail in front of blue installation art and the beach.

I invite you to take notice of how much blue there is in your life.
Keep a mental note of all the blue things you see in one day.
Why? Because it's winter and it's a fun thing to do to keep from getting blue! Consider it an adult version of the children's game "I Spy".
If blue doesn't work for you, which are the colors of your life that add depth and meaning?
