Christmas In South Florida

People have asked me if seeing Christmas lights in palm trees seems weird. I respond, "No, it feels perfectly normal to me."

I was having lunch today  at The Old Key Lime House in Lantana.  Out on the deck, overlooking the Intracoastal, the sun was shinning, the water was sparkling, and the seagulls were chattering. Also on the deck was a magnificently decorated Christmas tree. If it didn't feel so normal, it would have seem surreal.

Special thanks go to my daughter Zoe who encouraged me to move to South Florida earlier this year rather than after Christmas as I had originally intended. Her thought was that I should enjoy these holiday scenes now rather than have to wait a year. I'm glad I took her advice.

Enjoy these images of Christmas in the little latitudes. Thanks also go to the folks at the Ocracoke Island Realty blog who inspired me to take and share these photos. Scroll down for photo information and location.

My wish for you is that you take the time to create happy memories and encourage those you love to follow their dreams.
