Papayas And Coconuts
It’s funny how life works. I‘ve got a Papaya tree right outside my back door and I don’t care for papayas. While I appreciate their bold color and striking contrast of orange flesh and dark seeds, their flavor doesn’t appeal to my palate.

Looking up at the papaya tree right outside the back door.
I’ve got six coconut trees out in the yard and while I love coconut milk (made from the meat of the coconut) I don’t care for coconut water (the clear fluid that comes out when you punch a hole in the coconut’s hard shell.)
View from my desk. Step back a bit and you’ll see my latest Pug drawing.
I may not like to eat papayas and coconuts, but I like to look at them, to watch them sway in the warm breeze, to see their vivid colors against an even more vivid sky.
My wish for you today is that you look at your nearby things with fresh eyes and a greater appreciation. Find the beauty in everything. Don’t for a minute think it’s not there because it is.
